It’s was an eventful week for the NL Selects Ball Hockey U15,17,19,19F groups with all Groups playing for a Medal, This is the first time that this has happened for Newfoundland and Labrador. The Under 15 group claimed a Bronze Medal in Tier 2 defeating Quebec 7-0, The Under 17 group claimed the only Gold Medal of the Weekend defeating British Columbia 5-3,Not only was it the only Gold Medal of the weekend but it was the first ever Gold Medal claimed by at NL Team in the U17 Teir 1 Division. The Under 19 Girls walked away with a Sliver Medal after falling to Team Ontario Red 1-0, and the Under 19 Boys lost a heartbreaker of a game 3-2 in Double Overtime to New Tech Xtreme (ONT). Not only did teams get their medals but some deserving players were recognized for their achievements this past week.
