1. What are your expectations and goals for your team throughout this tournament ?
Our expectations is to make the most of the opportunity provided to our athletes and staff at these world championships, and to progress and improve as the championships move forward. Our athletes will represent our Canadian flag and the sport of ball hockey proud, being role models for the younger players.

     2. How long have you been coaching Ball Hockey?

13 Years. I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of high character athletes, competing for multiple Provincial/Western/National titles. This will be my 5th world junior championship representing team Canada, being part of the U-16/U-18 programs previously. My most recent experience at the junior level was in Sheffield 2016 as the head coach of the Team Canada U16, where we captured gold

     3. What type of team do you have? What style of play can fans expect from your team?

We believe we have a team that can play with pace, create offence  and a defensive core that is strong positionally. Spectators should be able to identify our work ethic, quick ball movement and our play without possession as being strong positionally to keep opponent quality scoring chances to a minimum. We believe we will be able to show a disciplined game.
This is great experience for our local fans to see the game at its highest level!

4. Who are the players to watch from your team, and what makes them special?

We have 11 returnees from a successful U-18 gold medal winning team from the world championships in 2016. Their experience will be key providing consistency while our new athletes settle in. All athletes should have some extra motivation, playing on Canadian soil in-front of family, friends and team Canada supporters.

5. What do you most look forward to when visiting Canada and the St Johns NL region?

This will be my 4th trip to beautiful St.John's Newfounland for the sport of ball hockey. I had the experience of being a player in the 2013 mens world championships, the event was first class and the staff were amazing. Lots of tradition and passion for the sport of ball hockey and a beautiful place to tour. The worlds young elite ball hockey athletes will have a wonderful experience!
